Ch 51 Maya's POV It's been a little over a year. It's been exactly 387 days. It's been 9288 hours. It's been 557280 minutes since I last saw him. The only thing keeping me from going crazy is Kevin Alexander Kibbel, my son. For every other purpose I call him Alex though. He looks just like Kevin. I heard my phone ring "Hello?" "Maya!" I heard Riley whisper. "How are you?" I smiled. "I'm fine, Alex is fine too..." "Good, when can I see you?" she said. "That's actually why I called...I need to come home...I miss him..." I whisper, tears coming to my eyes. Alex starts crying. I run and get him, still on the phone with Riley. "That's amazing! When?" she said, obviously excited. "I'm actually catching a plane tomorrow..." I said, trying to get Alex calm down. "Do you want me to go pick you up?" she said. "Yeah..." I said. I then took a deep breath. "How...how's Kevin?" "Maya...he has a girlfriend..." Riley said. Tears came to my eyes and my breath came out shaky. "It's okay...I knew he was going to move on..." "Have you?" she whispered. "I've tried...but Alex looks too much like him! It's like he's here!" I said, crying. "Hey, it's okay...you know how you've been talking about getting maybe a record deal? I can help you!" she said. I chuckled. "Thanks... hey I have to finish packing, I'll call you tomorrow, okay?" "Bye!" she said and we both hung up.
